No DX11 option, yet I can run DX11 games
#11
it's not the directx core. it's the d3dx utility runtime. i thought about that the dx10/11 plugins fail when the dlls aren't there. he probably was lucky and a dx9 game registered a d3dx9 redistributable. but for dx11 this is not working. it's about the shaders. the shader compiler got included in 8.1 - wasn't in 8.0, but generally the shaders for the gsdx plugin are compiled using the d3dx11 function which is part of the old dxsdk and is already called deprecated for the windows 8.1 sdk.

Tried the web setup. No changes.
Tried the complete setup dabore offered. No changes.
Tried updating to the latest version of pcsx2. No changes.
Tried installing to a different folder. That fixed it.

Uh. Hrm. There is literally no difference in the plugins, I picked the exact same ones, and didn't import any settings. But now it shows up, where the other one did not show up at all.

Then deleting your ini folders probably would have solved it Smile

What do you think caused this though? If you're using the same plugins, what's being improperly referenced that is resulting in GSDX reporting it doesn't have DX11 available?
