You mean like pausing and switching to software rendering when fmvs play? I guess that's an option, bit of a pain though. I think I'm just gunna go with the PC version anyway. I'll try large frame buffer too though just for the heck of it.

No you dont have to pause and do it manually. Just go into "Game Fixes" and enable the FMV software switch option...

I can confirm this bug is present in the japanese version of SH3 too...
Unscale point line hack and large frame buffer don't help (but it fix videos in SH2); Software rendering makes the videos visible but flickering like crazy indeed...
Would a GS dump help for videos...?

A long dump (multi frame) that start just before the video. However I'm not sure I could fix it.

Was about to post my dump but you've been faster than me FlatOut... Wink
Thanks!

EDIT: Anyway, there's definately seem to be a regression on video reading here, as games like PC Genjin (http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Hudson-Se...8-J--28976) which used to start OK are stuck again on intro video and need the skip Mpeg hack again to get ingame...

If you've already made the dump, it could be helpful to upload it anyway. You have a different version, so there might be a difference or the dump could just be better. Laugh

Did PC Genjin stop working due to a v1.5.0 commit?

Ok, here's my dump: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4hwwbme0wr1xmx...eo.7z?dl=0

For PC Genjin, last time I checked it (2-3 months ago I think) it was starting without hacks... I'll try it with older versions but I'm not sure what really broke it...
EDIT: My bad, it seems PC Genjin videos got stuck again between 1.2.1 and 1.4 releases and haven't run without hack since then...

@flatout, @ssakash I need your help on SH3 video on SW.

The last rendering command is done at 0xf00
Code:
FRAME
    FBP (*32):0xf00
    FBW:8
    PSM:0x0
    FBMSK:0x0
But display is located at 0. So either core send garbage, or there is a kind of offset/trick.
Code:
DISPFB[1] BP=00000 BW=8 PSM=0 DBX=0 DBY=0
DISPLAY[1] DX=652 DY=50 DW=2559 DH=895 MAGH=4 MAGV=0
