For PAL games alternative is Null interleacing routine or better framebuffer display (no posible all games) progressive scan mode can be forced but many games, videos, cutscenes, speed is increased, for Tekken 5 i can port framebuffer code but i need to wait someone lend me the game because i dont have PAL version.

I will try to look at some of those on your list and see what I can find. I will post them in the PS2 widescreen thread.

As for progressive scan, yes that is also possible, it's been done already for games like GT4, but that is sort of out of my territory, better off asking someone like felix about that who is more knowledgeable about those algorithms than I am at this point.

Update 2022 August - all codes reworked for Neogeo Online Collection series 1 - 12 (Japan)
-Autoenable progressive 240p 320x240 native or progressive scan 640x448p (some titles)
-Fast boot No intro logos - fmv (not all titles) - no need for patch image
-sharp pixel clean - No blurry image (use gamesettings profiles)
-recomended "gamesettings pack profile"s for PCSX2-QT (scanlines can be disabled in game "propierties > graphics > OSD options)

I wondering many weeks ago about this collection to improve it; because has ARRANGE sountracts from neogeo-cd and sounds great but some blurry screen and menus shaking are the main problem; some games not need interleacing codes, only menus, but learning about frames, progressive scan modes etc i want to improve this game collection, add progressive modes, null interleacing instruction, lower input lag etc.

This are my  mods to improve a little this games:

This is for PS2 NEO-GEO ONLINE COLLECTION JAPAN VERSIONS (can work other regions see notes)

Fast boot Bypass Intro logos and video

This game collection has a .elf file for logos and almost "generic" video intro and another .elf for games, with this hack we bypass this intro and boot directly to games main menu, also i include pnach files for this games in MOD-PACK archive for Progressive Scan 240p (native mode) this codes also disable interleacing routine for menu-games.

For this we need to modify our ISO dump

1 > Hxd or favorite hex editor
2 > Open your ISO dump

5 > paste write in Hxd with CTRL + B or second click "paste write option" > save; (if program warn about increase file zise or etc you are doign wrong the program not need to ask about it, do it again.)

Here we are changing the default boot .elf in SYSTEM.CNF to another .elf; Others games can't be done because have only 1 .elf, or the .elf self contain all executable data from other .elfs, also we loose intro art image but you know... time is gold; for oher regions can work too but about PAL editions maybe cause conflic or maybe not because this versions use selectors 50hz - 60hz but i dont know, if you wanna test is the same logic only change SYSTEM.CNF instruction route SLESXXX for SELECT.ELF executable; this can be implemented too in other games with many executables files if you want experiment, but result can be mixed.

This only change games default boot, but menu still shake, interleacing etc, i include a MOD-PACK pnach archive has codes for this games enable progressive mode in native mode (320x224 / 640x224) according to PCSX2 print status console this are original frames resolution before pass to display (stretch to 448, field mode display, postprocess etc), you migth think you loss resolution but not, mayority this games are Field mode. (Read Every Other Line) games , when you force progressive mode this tell game show full frame each interval, if game only show half screen is (aka field mode game); games like kof98um are full frame games because show full frame in progressive mode interval.

- This was aimed to PCSX2 but was tested in PS3 console (i dont have PS2) it work as intended, progressive codes enabled in games looks nice withow interleacing but are small in TV, half upper screen (because they are field mode games), testing anothers codes cut off part upper screen, for this i think is better try GSM homebrew, i leave in pnach codes notes about codes edited if some want to check or try with PS2 hardware with PVM, RGB setups.
 
FOR NO ISO DUMP MODDING
next pnach codes for No interleacing menus and progressive mode in PCSX2; games with official progressive mode i add autoboot progressive prompt option and some changes, tips for PCSX2 and game notes:

General PCSX2 recomended options:

-If you have PS3 controller check new driver 2020 here
-Last PCSX2 dev build Here (build with allow sprite conversion to be done on the cpu on d3d hw renderer when applicable)
-Hardware Mode: Looks sharp lees or no blurry screen *Exept for Garou Mark of wolves (missing graphics)
-PCSX2 > Config > Video (GS) > Plugin settings : Interleacing = none (or F5 till "none")
                                                                       *Texture filtering = Nearest (minimize blurry screen)
                                                                         Shader Configuration > Texture Filtering (un-check *or leave it)
-PCSX2 > Config > Audio (SPU2) > Synchronizing mode: Async Mix (for input lag-performance)
                                                   Module: Port Audio > Configure > Wasapi exclusive (for stereo - home theater amps)*bypass windows audio postprocesing, this disable all windows sound in play.
-F7 for enable Scanlines (keep pressing for other options)
--PCSX2 > Config > Video (GS) > Plugin settings : internal resolution 2x > 3x (or GPU performance capable)
