No sound in games
#1
Hi all!

I'm pretty new to emulation and I've been taking a stab at it with my steam deck. I have been having great success with pcsx2, but one day all my games started to have no audio. I have tried messing with the audio settings and changing things around but no luck. I did notice that when I clicked on an individual game and went to its properties to adjust audio, all the sliders were stuck at zero. I cannot move them up or down at all.

Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

pcsx2 version: PCSX2 Nightly - v1.7.3241

Specs:
Linux/steamOS
AMD APU
CPU: Zen 2 4c/8t, 2.4-3.5GHz (up to 448 GFlops FP32)
GPU: 8 RDNA 2 CUs, 1.0-1.6GHz (up to 1.6 TFlops FP32)
APU power: 4-15W
16 GB LPDDR5 on-board RAM (5500 MT/s quad 32-bit channels)
512 GB high-speed NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen 3 x4 or PCIe Gen 3 x2*)

Thanks!!

Where can I find the appimage? I checked the pcsx2 website but it wasn’t there.

In terms of the appimage, it should be on the official website, under the Downloads section.

I was able to fix this by:
1 connecting an external keyboard
2 booting to desktop
3 running a game with pcsx2
4 click the windows button on the keyboard
5 find the pcsx2 icon on the task bar
6 click the sound icon on the top right of the icon and make sure it’s not muted
