i tried to write in the will psx2 run fast on my pc topic but id does not work so i hope it will be ok to ask here

so is it possible to play with that notebook

AMD AthlonTM 64X2 dual-core processor
QL-62 (2,0GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)
Up to 1536 MB Nvidia Geforce 9600M GS

will play = yes
will play well = 2d games yes but not 3d games
so just try it.

the cpu really lets it down cause its not intel, you will be able to play most games but you might need to use most/all speed hacks.

No because AMD cpu's dont take advantage of SSSE3 and SSE4.1 which makes pcsx2 run faster and better, AMD have equivalent instructions sets but are not compatible with pcsx2 atm.

Not a fanboy statement, its just a statement that intel > amd for pcsx2.

Personally, I know Intel's better at emulation, however there was no explanation.. The statement made was fanboyism, when he explained, that's when it became viable.

Anyways, today with PCSX2 and plugins advancements, I am playing Final Fantasy 12 at 1280x800 (after getting out of rabanastre) at full 50-60fps on my notebook (see specs below). This was not possible even a year before, so keep that in mind. What you can't play now, you could possibly play tomorrow, until optimization reaches it's limits.
