I have pcsx2 1.0.0, i have the same problem both with ntsc and pal versions: black screen after mem card loads. I've tried to put the pnatch files into the cheats folder and 'enable cheats' but nothing changes, the problem persists.

Haha I tried replaying this recently and almost forgot you have to enable the cheat... is it possible to integrate this patch directly into PCSX2? I'm also curious what does it do exactly?
