OpenGL Windows/Linux quick comparison, nvidia drivers
#1
So I was was wondering how much performance difference there is between the two OSs, so I decided to install windows in a spare partition in my hdd (because I am a linux user). And... surprise (or not?), I noticed a huge difference when running MTG3 in windows, it is actually much faster!
Gpu: GTX 680 nvidia drivers.

Same config in both OSs, you can actually notice the lag on linux, it's not just the fps counter gone wrong or something.
Here are the screenshots and logs:

I've noticed this also, get a lot better performance in Windows with the same GPU. Kinda annoying, guessing the linux drivers aren't as good... but thankfully it's not that bad that it forces me to use windows. Dragon Quest VIII and GT3 are the games I've noticed the difference in though there's probably many more.

I noticed that this doesn't seem to be the case with Dolphin-emu though, not that I've done any direct comparisons but it runs perfectly for me on Linux, just as good as it did under windows.
