Depends on the game. Some games are quite GPU intensive. Burnout 3 for example; my GT 440 was not able to handle it at more than 2x. If you have the game, try and see how it perform at native.

It is merely an example I know. I have less than 10 PS2 titles. There are way more games which is GPU intensive around. Anyway, good luck!
