Use native in GDSX (unfortunately that graphics is barely better than integrated ones), use the latest SVN and enable the MTVU hack. Any particular games you are having trouble with?

that gpu is way to weak to emulate any decent games on pcsx2

I really don't understand what the purpose of bundling 2GiB of VRAM to the 610M is. Maybe ASUS thinks they're redundant of memory device? Unsure

1. Don't use GameBooster

2. Set power plan to High Performance

@Livy

I had the same thing in my lappy and I know the core don't utilize all of them, which a waste... Wacko

Edit: And it was a marketing strategy...

Did you read the guides before buying a laptop to play PS2 games on? :/

The GPU is too slow for anything but native resolution rendering in some 2D games, so make sure you have that set in GSdx.
You may want to try just going with software rendering and setting it to use 2 extra threads.

I don't know what to suggest to the original topic. The 610M is not even enough for native resolution of many games. All you can do now is blaming yourself for buying that laptop.

/to Archerko How the VRAM is used does not depend on the GPU; it depends on the application. But I'm sure no application which uses 2GiB of RAM would run flawlessly on such GPU. Its performance is the same as the integrated HD 3000, although it is a bit faster thank to the dedicated VRAM. I'd rather use the HD 3000 to save some heat and power.

Wait, if I had Intel Turbo Boost... using high performance will... ah, it increase to 3.0Ghz ~ 3.1 Ghz as well. Technically, it's not enough, right? ><

Fine... at least, it's still work on 45FPs ~ 55Fps.

Depends on the game. Some games are quite GPU intensive. Burnout 3 for example; my GT 440 was not able to handle it at more than 2x. If you have the game, try and see how it perform at native.

It is merely an example I know. I have less than 10 PS2 titles. There are way more games which is GPU intensive around. Anyway, good luck!
