probably your settings cause 0.9.7 is supposed to be allot faster than 0.9.6
OS: Win 7 Ultimate x64 sp1, MoBo: Asus P5QD Turbo, CPU: Q6600 @ 3,0Ghz, RAM: Trancend 2x2gb 6-6-6-18 800 MHz, GPU: HD 4850 1gb.

thats right,is "supposed to",but for example in my case playing bloody roar 4 i get full speed (60 fps) in pcsx2 0.96,but in 0.97 i get about 45-50 fps using the same settings in both cases

those 2 versions have almost totally different settings, so there is no way to use the same.... for example speedhacks are totally different.

Maybe if you're comparing to a 0.9.6 beta, but the stable 0.9.6 is much slower compared to 0.9.6 betas and 0.9.7 beta.
Bloody roar 4 in a particular stage:
0.9.6 stable - default settings - 52FPS
0.9.7 beta - default settings - 50FPS
0.9.7 beta - superVU (0.9.6 doesn't have microVU so this is the direct compare) - 56FPS
0.9.6 r1888 - default settings - 61FPS

So yeh that much I'd believe Tongue

@ shadowlady

Thats the reason for always keeping different version of pcsx2 ,beacuse some games run better on some special revisions, altough they arent supported (svn),i get full speed by using the old pcsx2-vtlb version, believe it or not (in bloody roar 4) Tongue

Of course you do. Newer version means more accurate emulation, which needs more system resources. So even if you make speed improvements to your new version, you still get a speed hit by the more correct accurate emulation.

@ bositman

Yeah thats true,if im not mistaken the pcsx2 goal is accurate emulation regardless of speed isnt it?

Persona 3 and 4 are working perfectly fine for me in 0.9.7 as far as I can tell.
