PAC MAN WORLD 2 GRAPHICAL BUG Underwater levels invisible stuff

In Version 1.0 US of Pac Man World 2, in every underwater level (set in the second-to-last world of the game, so towards the end of the game) if you die even once, some obstacles/hazards/enemies and even boxes (that contain stuff like fruit or tokens, so required for 100% completion) literally become invisible. Entirely.

This is giving me serious problems because:

- I'm going for 100% completion
- I'm close to the end of the game
- These levels are already challenging by default

I've tried different settings and hacks, nothing worked. Please fix this graphical bug, I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

P.S. Thank you for making this emulator

EDIT: I'VE FOUND A SOME SORT OF SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM: I went to Config > Video > Plugins and played in Sofwtare mode.
THE BUG IS STILL PRESENT IN HARDWARE MODE.

Missing graphical effects from the PS2 version (examples include missing heatwaves in Butane Pain, no submarine blurs in ocean levels, no water reflection deformation in Ghost Bayou).Colours are slightly less vibrant than the Console versions
