PAL Games are Treated as NTSC
#1
Most NTSC and PAL related threads were about changing the FPS limit to 60 FPS,
But I want the games to run at 50FPS.

I have these games that are imported from Japan:

Katamari Damacy/We Love Katamari

Silent Hill 2/3/4

Ace Combat 4

All of these games are treated as if they are NTSC,
as shown on the top bar of the game window.

Whenever I play these games, it oscillates between 100% (60fps) and 67% (48fps)
and lower or higher.
So, I’m hoping that if the emulator detects these games as PAL, it would resolve the FPS issues.

My specs are (laptop):
-intel i7-9750 2.60 GHz
-16GB Ram
-Rtx 2070

I forgot to mention I tried with OpenGL and Direct11 on both Software and Hardware
I’m using 1.5.0
Preset set to 2 and also tried 3. (2 for now)
I’ve made sure I’m using my NVIDIA GPU for hardware and DirectX

I also archive my games on a USB 3.0 stick.
Is it possible that the games were converted to NTSC during burning (I highly doubt this but anything is possible)?

I tried converting the vm.ini file with NTSC set to 50 but it always converts back to 59.94.

That’s all the extra info I can think of for now.

Oh, and finally, Happy New Year to the good folks who worked on this emulator.
Just joined this forum today.
Really happy that I can play PS2 games on my laptop.

hello, yes some PAL games are treated as NTSC but i got a way to force the fps count going to 60 but increasing the base framerate from 100% (50fps) to 120%(60fps). (note : if needed) you may need to select Async for audio so there's no speeding artifices.
CPU : i7-3740QM CPU @ 2.70GHz
GPU : Nvidia Quadro K1000M
RAM : 24 GBs
