I just wonder if it would be better to use PAL-versions instead of NTSC-versions on systems that can not reach 100 % speed. PAL has only 50 fps instead of 60 fps of NTSC so it should be easier for the emulator to reach full speed with 50 fps.
Or are my speculations wrong? Can somebody of the coders give some insight of this matter?

Such answers do not really help. If you would have simply replied yes or no this would be more helpful...

I have that question too when I bought the PS2. And it took me several weeks asking, searching, and testing myself to find the answer.
I leave you to find the details yourself. But in short, I recommend the NTSC version. PAL version really sucks, except for that of Shadow of the Colossus and Resident Evil 4.
