PCSX2....

I love you.
I hate you.

I love you because I no longer have a working PS2.

I hate you because the few games I do want to play don't work.

I guess my only option is to wait until an update or I get off my lazy ass and buy a PS2.

Arc The Lad mainly. Waiting on a friend to bring over his copy of Star Ocean so I can play the hell out of it. Anyone know how well it runs? I know its said that its playable. Just how well?

I know Arc The Lad works on the r1888 but the text is all scrambled so I am unable to read the talking. *shrug*

Arc the Lad: Twilight of Spirits works fine...

Better show your settings and problems with screenshots so we can help better.

Hmm. Alright. Well, heres my specs.

CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3 GHZ
Video: Nvidia GTX 260
OS: Windows 7 x86
Ram: 4GB

The problem I am having with Arc The Lad is video issues. The title screen and the video in the beginning (after sitting at the title screen for ~1 min) run perfectly fine. I have tried a mix of each of the plugins to try and figure out the problem but I am left with these video issues.

Use the latest beta and enable microVU in CPU options with it, also change your graphics plugin to GSdx.

Which MicroVU? I enabled 0 and 1 and all I got was a blank screen. Alright. I got the text to work in beta but now I have other issues. This is the setup you had me use with MicroVU0 enabled.

This is also using GSdx 1873 (SSSE3)

That's from using the Direct3D9 (Hardware) renderer, you should be using the Direct3D10 one which will look better but the (Software) renderers will be the best (while looking like lower resolution and probably being slower however).

Use direct3d 10 instead of 9

Alright. Thanks for the help. I am using 4.1 with D3D10 and some of the textures and the characters are greyed out but I don't care as long as it's playable. Laugh

Thanks for all the help with setting up my PCSX2.

Now I will end up staying up all night playing this and fall asleep when my friend brings over Star Ocean. Lol.
