PCSX2 0.9.6 Command line loading
#1
I use MediaPortal to load my PlayStation 1 games via batch files. Example of a pSX batch file:

E:\pSX\psxfin.exe -f -a0,E:\pSX\cards\final.fantasy.bin E:\pSX\cdimages\final.fantasy.IX.d3.sles-02965.anz.img

I would be happy with just loading a game. I have tried the following and it doesn't work but, something like:

"D:\Program Files\Pcsx2\pcsx2 0.9.6.exe" D:\Games\PCSX2\iso\metal.gear.solid.2.iso

Is anyone able to help please?

"PCSX2 doesnt support PS1 games" - Yes I know that. The first example above is how I use the command line to launch a PS1 game with the pSX emulator. The second example is my failed attempts to load a PS2 game, Metal Gear Solid 2, using the command line and the Pcsx2 emulator.

So my question still remains: Is it possible to launch a PS2 game with the Pcsx2 from the command line?

I don't know, but I never found it out. But you can use a little program called "Closemul" instead. Use it with a nice Frontend like Gameex.

try adding "bootmode 1" to that command line (without the parenthesis)
Windows 7 64bit
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 OC to 3.6GHz, Intel GMA x4500, 1GB DDR2

NinjaMight just work on next guideNinja
