PCSX2 0.9.7 Tekken 5 Speed Issue
#1
I have read the must read threads, now I finally decided to post this thread.

The problem is I am running Tekken 5 on PCSX2 0.9.7, GsDX 3068 SSE4.1 and I am getting only about 44 - 46 Fps in fights, 60 FPS when video is running and menu selection page.

My hardware specs are:
Corei7 920 @ 2.8 Ghz
GTX 460 (OC)
4 GB DDR3 Memory
HardDrives: SATAII (WD-Green) 2x500 GB in RAID0 (128kB strip)

Windows Experience Index (Windows 7 x64) are as follows:
Processor: 7.4
Graphics (aero): 7.5
Graphics (gaming): 7.5
Memory: 7.4
Hard Drive: 5.9

My gsDx settings are: DirectX10/11, internal res: 800-600, and all default, NO speedhacks, all default settings, by turning on the speedhacks, Speed is still the same, no speedup nothing, but FPS shows to 60 in fights from 44, False FPs count,

I have tried disabling the SPU2 reverb precessing, etc etc. but FPS are still stuck at 44 - 45, in between the fights. And also EE load is 100 percent in between the fights, but GS load is only about 30-40 percent. What does this mean?

So pls help me on this, getting it running at full speed. And some levels have some bad blocks of rendring in specific area of screen too.
Help!

Tekken is really a hog, and even if you have very good pc, you will not be able to emulate tekken 5 as smooth as you want it.

If you can try overclocking the CPU a bit (at least to 3.4Ghz but the higher the better), try another sound plugin, try changing the VUs to superVU, try the VU cycle stealing speedhack set to Moderate which could help a bit.

just use this , ( former build )
*removed*
and you are good to go .
using couple of speedhacks you should be able to play tekken 5 at full speed ,
i have already tested this game on my cousin's rig ( corei3 530 @ 2.9 ~2Gig ddr3 1333, 4670 1G) at full speed ( actually 70+ fps)
remember not to use any frameskiping or Vu skipping option ,cause they slow you down! ( yes they will slow you down with stutterin and stuff, ) .
by the way also grab the latest public beta plugins and have fun .

Even worst, a random SVN build from a year ago? Yeah we don't want that.
If it was at least the r1888 beta maybe but it wasn't even linked from the official pages so not supported anyway Tongue
