My battery only lasts on 45min to an hour on high performance while using PCSX2.

It's still a lot more portable than just about any desktop. It's a lot easier to carry, and doesn't need a desk too. A lap works just fine. (Though watch your legs, depending on how hot it gets.)

Depends on where the heat comes out, mine's like a rocket's burn near my left knee on the outside, depending how I sit perhaps middle of the leg. But I'm in no danger of that happening.

Pretty sure those studies about heat ruining your sperm are as trustworthy as those refutable studies stating that cell phones give you cancer. But getting back on topic, PCSX2 should be used on a laptop when it's plugged in and not on batter power alone.
