PCSX2-CE for Mac (Wineskin) Oct 2015 Guide

I am sorry to annoy you but can you please upload the log after using ogl and running a game as well?

What happens if you select no disk in the cdvd menu and start the emulation?

It's absolutely fine, happy to get this working...

In the log before (dx9) you came further. In these two logs the game does not even load. Did you change something else or could it be that the log is not complete (maybe not scrolling to the end or not selected all text)? If not can you reproduce that with dx9 the game is loaded even if it appears black while with ogl the game is not even loaded?

What happens if you use dx9 sw?
Can you please download version 1.2.1 for windows and put the zerogs dll into your plugins folder? What happens if you select that as gs plugin?
How sure are you about your gpu driver?

Btw i fear that we might be far from a solution.

It's completely random whether the GS screen loads up at all, sometimes it stays on if I've gone into emulation settings, that's the whole emulog.txt, thats as far as it goes before crashing.

Tried reproducing - crashed with both DX9 AND OGL

dx9 sw, same again...

Probably some racing condition. As we have two threads, ee and gs, and the ee sometimes get further, and sometimes not, i guess the crash happens in the gs thread.

I would check zerogs.

I think either your gpu driver is borked or you are missing some dependency of gsdx which is probably some dx stuff. I dont know how well dx is implemented by wineskin but possibly you should try running other dx software in wine.

Where's zerogs? Can't see it

I don't think it's borked, it's brand new. What software should I try?

Zerogs is either part of the latest stable (1.2.1) or of the version before (1.0).

About software i would try any dx10/11 software. Maybe a game. Maybe a benchmark software. As you like.

Zerogs doesn't seem to appear? See attached

Anyone got a link to a dx10/11 software that I can test quickly?

Ok, I think we are getting there. I started from scratch and was able to recreate the same error message, and I believe I found out what happened, and it's easily fixed.

Open up Wineskin, go to Advanced, Tools, and Winetricks. Unexpand the dlls list and scroll down to dxd39_36.

It should have a tick mark next to it, like in the attached screenshot. I'm guessing that for you, it is not. To install, tick the box and click run. When it is finished, close out and try running an ISO again. (If the whole "installed" column is not showing, select the option in the drop-down box with the gears).

The reason for this seems to be that the Winetricks command works for vcrun2013 but fails for d3dx9_36. I had them already stored in ~/.cache/winetricks so I didn't realise the download failed.

Please confirm if this works and I'll update the guide.

Hi Willkuer,

No need to complicate things with zerogs. GSDX works fine (if I fix this guide up), let's leave it for tinkerers to play around with zerogs.

We have exactly the same problem on win. Gsdx needs this dx dll. Zerogs works without. If zerogs wouldve worked i could instantly say that the dx dependency is the issue.
