PCSX2 Controller Button Sticking

I know this question has been asked a lot, so I apologize. Just trying to get some specific help for my scenario, as most I've seen are using PCSX2 on windows or using a ps4 controller, etc. I'm using Batocera (V39) on Steam Deck. I've been having a hell of a time getting PCSX2 to work properly. I finally got the game my son wants to play loaded, but when I get into the game, it just spins around and around like the R2 button is stuck. I tried another PS2 game and it was the same. I tried a PS1 game and didn't have the issue so I don't think its a hardware issue and my button seems to operate fine. I've turned off the DualShock 4/enhanced mode hoping that helped, but no luck. TIA

Also, why is my email showing on the left? I set it to not display. I'm confused.

because you used your email as a username.
that's why
we don't support batocera. ask their team for support instead
