They happened in the middle of gameplay, during any race/event, at odd times, it could be within a minute of starting, or deeper in a race, but, this usually ended up coming up in the log, right below what the framebuffer is set at 640x512 or 3x native (1920x1536)

I do have speedhacks on, the microVU and all the recommended check boxes, default cycle rate and no cycle skipping.
the GSdx plugin used was 20180916125447 MSVC 19.00 SSE4.1/AVX 1.1.0
This does NOT happen with the stable 1.4 build, nor does the errors in log appear, just as a point of reference
