Sorry forgot to mention that in my first post :/ . The first thing I tried was full and fast boot. Every time I change a setting I try both first. And yes, in the menu where you start the game exit the program, etc. Automatic Game Fixes is not selected.

Glad you finally got it. For starters, try enabling the option and try using the gsdx avx gs plugin and check whether you can get past the area where it crashes using full/fast boot individually.

So full and fast don't work. However I just tried the practice instead of quickplay/career and practice works. I can play the whole song without crashing. But I can't get quickplay or career to work. It still crashes in the same spot.

Sounds like a peculiar issue, the game is reported as playable in the wiki. Try playing the game in dx11 (software mode ).

Nope still same spot. Software mode drops my FPS in thirds hitting 20fps with software and 59fps in hardware. Either way though, they both crash. I'll try the other DX options awhile.

So I'm using all the original settings I posted in my first post and now can get past the crashing point with the following settings I changed:
EmuSettings>VUs>VU0 / VU1 Advanced Recompiler Options>Round Mode from Chop/Zero to Nearest
and
EmuSettings>EE/IOP>EE/FPU Advanced Recompiler Options>Round Mode from Chop/Zero to Nearest

I can make it past the crashing issue, however the game "freezes" but keeps playing the song. I still have my FPS but the graphics stop. The PCSX emulator does not crash, however.

I'm actually not familiar with this issue , maybe those who have played this game can help you. Also, did you give the latest development builds a try ?

Edit: I thought you solved the problem.. ignore me..

While it is not impossible that you need these special settings it is quite strange that you need it while nobody else saw this problem.

Can you please make a full compatibility report within the proper section (here) stating there what problem you have with default settings and how you solved them using the proper template? This would be really helpful. PLease also check if the graphics corruption is still present in hardware mode.
