PCSX2 Crashing
#21
Try several versions to find the first one that generate some crashes. Do a binary tree search (not sure of the expression)

@Saiki
The screen goes black, but it doesn't turn grey until It says "(Not Responding)" and you click on it.

Are you sure that you didn't change any option between the build?

What about the 4 builds in between? There are others available in between 1016 and 1025, it would be best to narrow it down to them.

Sorry about the delay I haven't been home in a few days, I can test the in between builds in a while and yes gregory all the settings have been identical in all tests Tongue

EDIT: Adding additional test info to other post until I narrow it down!
EDIT2: Tested all the builds in between, all of them reproduced the issue.
EDIT3: 1016 was a fluke. Just happened on that build as well. And I am out of patience for testing tonight, I have a pounding headache.

It would be nice if someone besides me could test this... I wonder if I'm the only one having this issue, or if perhaps it is related to Nvidia/Win10?? Because their drivers are botched as hell STILL. Idk. Have a headache, I'll be around tomorrow.

You should really consider doing a binary search. Just test the oldest git available. If it works continue.

After that always test the central version between the latest working and earliest non-working version. To find the broken release within 1024 releases would take 10 trials. For 4096 revisions you would need 12 trials.

I was using pcsx2-v1.3.1-1106-gece9c7f-windows-x86 and it crashed after 10 mins while playing MGS3S. using DX11,
 FXAA, 2x native, allow 8 bit textures and speedhack level 2.
OS Windows 10 x64

Now using stable release for more than an hour and no crash.
