PCSX2 Online Plus

Just a little update.

I *think* I've figured out why certain games are freezing, but I haven't worked out a fix yet.

Basically, the netcode assumes that the game sends the same command to all controllers every frame, then swaps around the responses to match player assignments, but some games don't send the same command to all controllers in one frame, so the netcode freezes waiting for data that'll never come.

I'm going to have to think about it.

Hey there! First of all, thank you so much for fixing the analog support issue, it was driving me crazy. For some reason, after my friend is in the lobby and we both click Start, it says "Timeout at Frame 10". I never had this issue happen to me before. Do you happen to know what could be causing it? We have the identical plugins, settings, memory card, ISO, and BIOS.

I'm having a timeout issue. "Netplay ended on frame 2" or something like that on my end, and a "timeout" on my sisters end. Identical settings, but I can't figure out what's causing it.

Got this working with my cousin on a recent Daily build.

Do you think there's a chance that netplay will ever possibly be able to run closer to full speed at some point?

Interesting new video from Dolphin

I tried this (I am totally new to emulation, no prior knowledge at all) and stepps are pretty simple.

I do have an issue though.

My game desyncs when trying to play with a friend. Memory cards are not loading properly. Any tips on how to resolve this?

Update:

I saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QfY9z8dd9I.
Downloaded all the things he mentioned (has links in the first comment of video)
Game loads and plays well.

As for Net Play: We each have to have identical memory cards and settings in PCSX2.

Each one of us loads the game individually. We set up a player and save to memory card.
We all then send the memory cards to the person who will be hosting.
They load the game and load each player to the game, including their own.
He then saves all profiles to just his memory card.

So by this point, the host has 1 memory card but it has all 4 profiles on it.

Host then send us all a copy of his memory card.

At this point, we all have PCSX2 with all same settings, Same memory card that is already preloaded with all of our profiles and Multi Tap is set.

We all join host and can now play multiplayer in Tiger Woods 2004 PGA Tour without any issues at all.

Hope this helps anyone looking to do the same.

Thanks for this forum for existing. I read a lot of great info on here and received help almost immediately.
Will keep an eye out for future developments of PCSX2 and Netplay.

**This was tested only for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004. Not certain if same results will be for other games**
