PCSX2 PS3 Controller anolog stick stuck at 500

I hope this is the right place for this, if not I apologize. I just installed PCSX2, hooked up my PS3 controller and went to set it up in the plugins. Everything works in the test screen, but Left Thumb X and Y setting are stuck on 500. They change when I move the stick but the go back to 500.
