u get everyting wrong.
Recomended requirement for PCSX2 is a mid range DX10 supporting card (8600GT/HD3650) Everyting else WILL NOT GIVE YOU FPS BOOST (in case u're using native rendering resolution)

Ati cards do not give good performance with pcsx2, only Nvidia cards give better performance.
so an 8600GT will perform better than the HD3650. However this is the case only related to pcsx2.

Shure the graphic card "WILL NOT GIVE YOU FPS BOOST".
If I use native rendering resolution in PCSX2 9600GT = HD4850 = GTX 260 ?
Wacko

8600GT and HD3650 isn't good for me.
Minimum HD4850 Closedeyes

I'm french, sry if my english is very bad Blush
I have questions for you Smile

I would like a new PC but I hesitate.
For me Intel => Glare
But the Core 2 Duo is better than Phenom.
In AM2+ Socket, the Phenom II X3 710 is a good challenger for the E7400 of Intel.

1/ I know if I have à Core 2 Duo PCSX2 it's OK but if I have a Phenom II X3 ?
I thinks Phenom II X3 710 after overclock reasonable => 3.4/3.5Ghz

2/ PCSX2 support X3 core and X4 ?

3/ CG ATI HD4830/HD4850/HD4870 it's ok or Nvidia is realy better ?

Please simple réponce.

Thanks
Bye

PCSX2 does not support more than 2 cores. But, at 3.4Ghz a Triple-Core Phenom should run most games at full speed.

Any of the video cards that you mentioned will do fine for PCSX2 but nVidia is better. But don't consider PCSX2 when buying a video card because any cheap video card can run PCSX2 will little or no problems.

and the word you were looking for was "response"
Intel Q6600 @ 2.8Ghz (Can't get it any higher)
nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX
4Gb DDR2 Dual-Channel RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate 64-Bit

I think this depends a lot on the GPU. My 4870 512 mb has been doing a good job until now, and the only games I notice a BIG impact on speed are those that can't be emulated at 60 constant fps for different reasons.

My PSCX2 run +30FPS with my HD3850 the only time it gets lower than that if the game is the one that is the problem.

Hey even my HD3200 gets 30+ FPS in the games I am playing(playing in my laptop). OF course I can only play it in low resolutions unlike my HD3850 which I play in Native resolution.

OK, here's the thread, so I won't open new one, I'm interested in how new Phenom works against older brothers & of course the Athlon X2 family? If anybody tested this on Pcsx2...

So:
Phenom II @ 3GHz vs Phenom @ 3GHz vs Athlon @ 3GHz

Lets take some cpu's:
Phenom II 940 X4 vs Phenom 9950 X4 vs Athlon 64 6000+ X2, all three at 3GHz, I doo hope that new Phenom is faster at least 20% over Athlon?!?

& how big is real boost of SSSE3 & SSE4 CPU's over nonSSSE3 & nonSSE4 CPU's if the frequency is same?

Cheers...
AMD FX-8350
4x 4GB DDR3 2400MHz
AMD Radeon R9 Fury X

Any prooflink that PCSX2 supports nVidia special functions or just perform better? Haven't heard of it. I get absolutley the same framerate in all the games with my 8600GT and HD3850. GPU is not a part of emulation process, it only renders the result of it. If you want to render it 1920x1200 - u need fast GPU, if u're okay to play with native 640x448 - any GPU with DX10 will be ok
