(Its the Harddrive included in the PS4 models with 500gb)
https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps4/Z5K500

Open PS2 Loader ............ when using that harddrive and perhaps other drives too................. Marvel VS. Capcom 2 will give an error at startup that says something about the harddrive, then it starts normally

Fatal Frame will not show the FMV opening at all, or it will show a split second frame of it, it takes too long to load.

(Fortunately)

By rebuilding the Fatal Frame 2 iso, and, by using the widescreen patch the game is FIXED!!

(used winhiip to install games to hdd, then ran Open PS2 Loader to create the opl parition, then, expanded that partition to 1586mb) (that was it then installed games, added themes and art) (thats the most stable way to do it, if you use ulaunchelf to format, hdd instead of winhiip you could have formatting issues using OPL or etc. PLUS, winhiip's recovery option works great, some games with wrong compatibility settings modify the boot sector of the hdd)

Can someone make a widescreen patch for Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends and Dynasty Warriors 5: Xtreme Legends(both NTSC-K)?

EDIT:
Nevermind, I ported them over myself.

(Finished Testing, Reference, Tales of Abyss PS2)

Using the "monoprice component switch" to go from the ps2 to the tv, the image is not great, this isn't an upscale, just a dummy device (signal untouched)
.................
.................
Using only the "ps2 component cable" to the tv (a cheap lcdtv brand), the 480i looks better the the component switch .............. now ............ going to 480p in game, the image does not look any better .................. its like the tv upscaled it to 480p, but still reports 480i
..................
..................
There were reports that using "upscalers" (like ossc/framemeister//and the cheap ones), had not effect on the ps2 quality in 480p when using regular hdtv's ............... i didn't believe that offhand but its true.  Completely true.
..................
..................
Using the Widescreen Patch for Tales of Destiny Abyss on PS2 (with only first two lines, widescreen and zoom, rest deleted because didn't work) ............. the game menu's don't look that bad stretched a little, I mean they are not fuzzy or anything.
..................
..................
tried also gsm 1080i, but best quality is just regular component cable from ps2 to the hdtv at 480i, not even using 480p!!!!!!!!!
...................
...................
Tales of Abyss Ps2, was the one game that had built in progressive mode (?), that also made the game crash whenever you used that option, so that is something to think about!

EDIT

(there is a 4 dollar device on ebay that gives you hdmi from the ps2 and it plugs directly into the ps2, you need to select "component" from the ps2 device in order for it to work ............... now this device is behaving like a "component switch" (dummy device no signal change), and possibly degrading the quality just like the "component switch (dummy device) used in the tests ................. don't have it offhand, but you probably need a high quality component cable to hdmi device, if the tv does not have the component ports on it)

(not a "upscaler", just a high quality switch device, that doesn't degrade the signal for the standard hdtv's, that is what is happening)
..............
..............
Makai Kingdom = Widescreen Works, set to 1080i ntsc (from open ps2 loader option), patch actually makes the game look a little better (rebuild the game image, probably wasn't necessary, shrinks to around 600mb)

(soul nomad widescreen work too, no problems there)

(SNK vs Capcom Europe Game .... set to 576i pal then in game during startup option change to 60hertz Ntsc fixes the game image)

Hi everyone!

I have some requests for widescreen codes to post here:

-Deus Ex - The Conspiracy (NTSC-US) -> Not done yet (The PS2 version worth it as it improves many parts of the game (but downgrade some parts too): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f...=185990038).

-Leisure Suit Larry - Magna Cum Laude (NTSC-US) -> Fixes for popups on left/right border needed.  (I use the old code because the recent one doesn't work at all on a real hardware. Maybe we could mix some of them, but i don't know how these codes work).

-The old widescreen code:
// 16:9
patch=1,EE,20CB6964,extended,3F400000 // 3F800000 X-Axis

-The new widescreen code:
// 16:9
patch=1,EE,002e4850,word,080fb09a // 46020082 jump to code-inject 003ec268
patch=1,EE,002e4854,word,00000000 // 46020842

patch=1,EE,003ec268,word,3c013f40 // 00000000 hor fov
patch=1,EE,003ec26c,word,4481f000 // 00000000
patch=1,EE,003ec270,word,46020082 // 00000000
patch=1,EE,003ec274,word,46020842 // 00000000
patch=1,EE,003ec278,word,461e0843 // 00000000
patch=1,EE,003ec27c,word,080b9215 // 00000000 jump back to 002e4854

Thanks in advance!

@arapapa
Can anyone confirm that Yakuza NTSC U uses a vert-method for the widescreen option?
It seems like going from 4:3 to 16:9 just zooms in the image. If so, can anyone make a .pnach for it?

Thanks
