Thanx for that!
That disc is a very significant part of PS2's history!

Hey guys, I'm at my wits end :-)  I'm new to making/editing widescreen patches.  I've made 1 and converted half a dozen 16:9 patches to 21:9 but I have hit a wall with GTA Vice City Stories PAL.

B3AD1EA4.pnach

gametitle=Grand Theft Auto - Vice City Stories (SLES_546.22)
comment=NTSC Widescreen Hack by Nemesis2000 (converted to Pal by Some Chump)
comment=Select widescreen in game otherwise image is zoomed out 4:3

widescreen fix pal
patch=1,EE,00265568,word,3c013f9d
patch=1,EE,0026556c,word,44810000
patch=1,EE,00265570,word,46006302
patch=1,EE,00265574,word,3c020048
patch=1,EE,00265578,word,03e00008
patch=1,EE,0026557c,word,e44c7784

patch=1,EE,0037afb4,word,0c09955a
patch=1,EE,003ba014,word,0c09955d
patch=1,EE,003ba4b0,word,0c09955d

I've spent about 5 hours tinkering and all I get is zooming and crashes.  Could someone maybe annotate a copy for me with what the values are changing or tell me what I'm doing wrong.  I never finished it on the PS2 and would love another crack in 21:9.

Cheers.

If you made a widescreen patch, why not post it so I can archive it?

Also, sorry, I can't help you with the GTA code. Don't know how.

They're 21:9 patches :-) The main page states you want 16:9 only in the archive? I also have a bad feeling about the GTA patch....it's using the built in 16:9 support and just zooming out :-/ So there never will be a 21:9 GTA patch....

I also have a Fat console with the latest beta OPL installed Smile . All patches (after convert PNACH to RAW and add the enable code) worked fine to me too, except, by now, God of War II (SCUS-97481). Not sure if can I ask for this kind of help in this forum (sorry if not :/ ), but this is what I got:

ORIGINAL SOURCES:

//CODE BREAKER Enable Code
B4336FA9 4DFEFB79
CBF150D9 63C74254
B763009E 9D56D4BD
430073DB 4A53EFD6

//PNACH code by nemesis2000
patch=1,EE,00234A48,word,46000406

AFTER CONVERSION TO RAW:

//Enable Code (converted to RAW with Omniconvert 1.1.1)
902B7B60 0C0B1AB3

//16:9 (converted to RAW with PNACH Converter 2.01
20234a48 46000406

And so, I wrote this information inside SCUS_974.81.cht file, move the file to CHT opl folder, enabled PS2rd function and saved, start the game and nothing changes... Where I'm doing wrong?
As I said, all other games that I made these procedures worked fine.

EDIT: The problem was the wrong Enable Code. Found the correct one (902D2560 0C0B4900) using the Mastercode Finder. Thanks to ShaolinAssassin for the tips!

I'd like to thank you psalmsamuel for your upload, that inside contains Thunder Force VI file (Devina, please archive it), one of my favorites that I would request soon, but hey, not necessary anymore Laugh . And thanks to arapapa to have made it! Smile

@destinydoom : it's weird, cause I could get 16/9 for God of War II - PAL version on real hardware using OPL. The PAL 16/9 pnach is a convertion from NTSC-U pnach so it should work.

Your mastercode looks ok according to this list : http://psx-scene.com/forums/f173/master-...ts-123634/ but if I were you, I would try to see if MasterCode Finder (http://psx-scene.com/forums/f293/masterc...er-110898/) can give you another working one.
