PCSX2: Windows XP vs Vista 32bit.

I am currently running PCSX on 2 machines... one Vista Ultimate SP1 x86 (it is just fine btw... although 64 would be nice ) and one on XP SP3... Both specs are much of a muchness, both 4GB 667 RAM x1950PRO 512 and again... both Core 2 Duo 1.86 (don't laugh... I am in South Africa after all, cash is TIGHT) LOL

At the end of the day though, strange as it may seem I get better results on Vista setup... maybe because it utilizes more RAM?? Not sure, but Vista Ultimate does the job good and solid.

Ouch. Oh if you are a university student you can get Vista ultimate 32/64-bit for $65 digital download. With like an extra 15 dollars if you want both a disk and a download backup. I just took the deal like 2 weeks ago. It's also the red addition which means some money of your perchase goes to help aids victims in africa and you get a few special backgrounds and such for it.

well i'm still gonna be stuck with vista basic, i don't have the money to even do that.

why vista 64bit when pcsx2 is 32bit application? I know there was pcsx2 64bit, but AFAIK the 64bit version was buggy.

some might not know this, but you can run 32bit applications on a 64bit windows os. in fact, most of the stuff is still 32bit and it runs really good with 64bit vista or 7.
