PCSX2 crashing on boot cdvd and gs configure
#1
Hi everyone,

I've been trying to set up pcsx2 1.2.1-r5875 on my laptop for a while now and I'm a bit stuck now. The program opens up fine, but whenever I select Boot CDVD (full) or Boot CDVD (fast), it instantly stops responding. Also when I go to my emulation settings to check the GS settings, the program also crashes, so I'm thinking it's a GS issue. The program log is below:

why are you missing GameIndex.dbf?

I wish I knew why, but I've manually added the file on that directory, and also reinstalled pcsx2 on another directory (and GameIndex.dbf did get installed this time), and I'm having the same issues on both

Please show emulog again after the program crashed with included gameindex.

After it crashed please don't reopen pcsx2 since then the emulog will be overwritten. Search for the emulog.txt in the logs-folder and attach it to your post.

For some reason, that file wasn't created either (in fact, there wasn't even a logs folder). I did however find another source for version 1.3.0 and I've got that working now, but thanks anyway.

Seeing as he's mentioning different sources I'd have to guess it's because he downloaded a crappy version somewhere.
