edit by the way Gsdx is based on openGL albeit experimental.

I'm using 0.4.0 at the moment and it seems almos the same thing as 0.3.0, I'm gonna give other games a try. I'd tested gsdx on the last ppa build and it was way slower than the ogl plugins. Gonna give this new build a try.

Thanks for the info!

yes 0.4 and 0.3 are very similar. Gsdx it depends, if you use sw renderer most computing is fone by the cpu. HW rendere wil be faster but it is a bit buggy at the moment

The current version of gsdx doesn't work for me. Both hardware and software mode give me a white screen.

@gregory: Is it okay to use KUBUNTU 64 bit?
and i want to ask which one you prefer KUBUNTU 32bit or 64bit?

A 64 bits version is fine but you must use latest Ubuntu version ie Precise.

It could be cool for new users if the PPA was on the website.

@rydroid, I hope to include PCSX2 into Debian/Ubuntu.

@legluondunet, yes you can use my PPA. You need to manually tell apt (or your package manager to use the 32 bits version), for example sudo apt-get install pcsx2-unstable:i386
You also need to install the 32bits version of your driver. Radeon opensource driver is not yet ready so use catalyst.

Hey guys, after the latest update to my Kubuntu 12.04 32bit PCSX2 got automatically uninstalled and when I try to install it again from the ppa I get the following message:

Quote:wingnux@wingnux-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install pcsx2-unstable
[sudo] password for wingnux:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have

pcsx2-unstable:i386 : Depends: libwxgtk2.8-0:i386 (>= 2.8.12.1) but it is not going to be installed

I've tried to run the 1.0 build from PCSX2.net but I get error about missing libraries and those are not present on the Ubuntu repository:
