PCSX2 keeps being slow despite the 1.6 update

Hello everyone, I'm not English so there could be some language issues, and I'm sorry for that. Now, let's go to the point: PCSX2 lags too much and it's not playable. This problem has occured since the first time I downloaded the emulator, in the 1.4 version, but these days, as you of course know, the new 1.6 version came out and I hoped the problem would have been fixed. But, unfortunetly, nothing changed between 2 versions! I haven't noticed any improvement from the version 1.4. Maybe, I thought, my pc is not able to run pcsx2; I'm not sure about this, but it's what I want to find out. Can you tell me if is impossible for my pc to run PCSX2 in a playable way? Here are the technical specifications:

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 840M
CPU: Intel Core i5 4th generation
RAM: 8GB
SO: Windows 10

Will I be able to run PCSX2 smoothly on this PC one day? Maybe, will I make my PC able to run this emulator if I play a bit with the settings? Or do I have to change PC if I want to live old memories?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

I see.
your PC is definitely too weak for most 3D games under pcsx2 (it was weak for version 1.4, it's weaker for 1.6, since requirements increased)

better play it on your real PS2 console, or buy the PC version (your PC will be able to handle it easily)

i5-4210U <- your cpu was built for ultra low power. it's basically a tablet cpu. I have an i5-4430 and pcsx2 runs just fine.
