This is correct.

Ahh that makes sense. I assume there's a reason PCSX2 can't/doesn't use the GPU?

I've been planning to try to get it to 4.8GHz as I have a liquid cooler. Do you really think 0.8 GHz upgrade will help?

PCSX2 does use the GPU. It's just that that measurement in particular doesn't reflect it. Use GPU-Z to see GPU usage.

And 4.8 will do fine. I have a 6300 at 4.4 and I do well with PCSX2.

Yeah GPU-Z said it was being used around 32%

Also I do fine with most games except Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and Jak & Daxter which I've heard are the most graphically demanding.

Ratchet and Jak both really need software mode anyway.

It means 32% is enough. The problem is probably your CPU. If you want higher GPU usage, you can use 6x IR.

Try disabling MTVU.
90% is too high

The reason the GPU is not being hit hard is becuase you are only using Native with GDSX try bumping that up higher and you should see an increase in GPU usage. As for slowdowns and with stats yeah it sounds like your CPU is bottle necking the program. Overclocking it to at least 4.5ghz will help. Higher is always better tho. You sure you are running in hardware mode and not software mode? Software mode is going to be harder on the CPU then hardware mode.

If he uses software mode, the GPU load should be about 0-10%.
