PCSX2 works fine for the most part for me, but I'm having this problem where the emulator sporadically freezes completely for maybe ½-2 seconds or so. Moreover, I'm only having this problem most of the time. Sometimes, I can run PCSX2 just fine with no freezing for hours. Any ideas?

Would you happen to be on a laptop or having anything blocking a cooling source, like a fan, by any chance?

I am on a laptop, but it pretty much always stays cool.

Try setting the power profile in your laptop to "high performance" as well as disabling other power saving features on it.

Playing directly off the disc?
Something active/updating in the background?
