So i noticed that a few games are running very slow with the 3xnative option, however they run fine when i change to native or 2x native what could this be?
I use version 1.4.0

Spec:
Core i3 4170
12 GB Ram
Windows 8.1 64-bit
NVIDIA GeForce GT 730

there are some games out there that are just brutal to run..
What games are continuing to slow? What was the new video card? What settings are you using? When the game slows down, what is the EE and VU %'s reading at the top of your window?

Weird - that proc has a better stp than my 3770.. and yeah, its multi-threaded.. hes still going to be able to play a lot of games at full speed.. and others he wont. Ark.intel says its 2 core, 4 thread.. which is sufficient for pcsx2...

Also try to use one of the devbuilds which you can get here: https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/

There is also the point that the i7 is 4 cores / 8 threads. OS and background usage is always lower on the i7, plus it has higher cache.

True.. but it still would handle pcsx2 for the most part quite well. I've personally used an i3 3240 (2c/4t, 3.4ghz) and had no issues with quite a few games (and it was only 1800ish stp).

Without the MTVU hack, pcsx2 only uses 2 threads (in hardware mode) and 3 threads with it enabled. His hardware is definitely sufficient to run a lot of games. On the other hand, he didnt mention what second video card he tried (if it was amd, thats a good potential for problems), or if he was trying to run something like Zone of Enders or SoC or any of the blizzard games on 1.4.. There are plenty of variables outside of his hardware that could be causing issues... but for general compatibility his hardware will actually do pretty well.
