PCSX2 running slow
#1
So I have played PCSX2 several times over the years and also on a lower quality pc and have not had this problem before. I have had a graphical issue before and fixed it with a dev build link given to me by a user here and it worked. So my issue is when loading the game everything runs smooth all the menus are fine even when in the game. The problem comes whenever I start to actually play the game. Like for example when playing NCAA 07 the game is fine until the play begins, I have checked core temp and its fine so I am at a head block as to what it could be.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

Yes I even created my own plan and made sure everything was not power saving

To give more detail I have been trying to test where it happens and its anytime I gain control of the player, So like in Ncaa 06 the menus, replays, play picking is all fine and running at 100%. Its when I go to start the play and walk up to the line it slows down, when I start to actually play it does. I doubled check the core temp and its still down, and I also made sure the PC power setting where in the correct option.

Hi
I had encountered a very similar issue on Windows 10.
I now believe this slow down issue to be related to W10 updates.

I had to roll back to this to get PCSX2 running normally again:

KB4562900 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 and Windows Server 1903 RTM and Windows 10, version 1909 and Windows Server, version 1909

What gives?

Makes sense, Microsoft recently issued a statement to users to please provide feedback if the latest update affected their system's performance. Seems you're one of the unlucky ones that got hit by that issue with the latest update.

Hey
Did you rollback your W10 update?
Have any luck with PCSX2?

Hopefully you did. That way I'll know it wasn't just a fluke.
