PCSX2 running very slow on high-end laptop

Hi!
The thing is... I used PCSX2 in my laptop a long time ago without issues, no frame drops, 60fps... Now it runs very slow, with framerates falling sometimes to 25 or 29... Is there any way I can solve this? I have already tried uninstalling and installing to no use.

Using a BIOS file with PCSX2 which you have downloaded from the internet or from a PS2 console you do not own is illegal. You must own the console the BIOS file came from (even if it's broken) to be legal.
