PCSX2 runs very slow
#1
Hello I have a problem with Gran Turismo 4 lagging when there are for example many lights. My EE, GS and VU never go above 50 and yet I still often get lags. I set Windows, my CPU and GPU to max performance. I have both the NTSC and PAL version of the game and NTSC is even worse with constant stuttering even in the menus.

My specs:

Hardware:
CPU:I5 3470 4x3,2-3,6 ghz (turbo)
GPU:GTX 1050 2GB
RAM: 10GB DDR

Software:
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit
PCSX2 1.5.0 latest (Had the issue in older versions too)

Settings:
EE/IOP: Clamping mode full
VU: Clamping mode extra
Speedhacks: MTVU on
GSDX:Renderer DX11 Hardware
Adapter: Geforce GTX 1050
Resolution: 3x native
Interlacing: Bob Tff
Mipmapping: Off
CRC: None
Accurate Date: Off
Accurate Blending: None
HW hacks: Texture Offset X:385, Y:187 everything else unticked
Shaders: Off

Edit: The light effects are flickering and shine through walls for some reason

He should have better speed with DX because the is no accurate blending there and if he switch to OGL(which is recommended for nvidia cards)he will have to change the AB option because the speed goes way down in that game in certain conditions

I reinstalled Windows maybe it will work better now. Btw I use DX11 because OpenGL seems to perform worse

Update: Nothing changed after reinstallation, still runs slow, OpenGL and DX11 perform equally. Can someone maybe provide good settings for OpenGL?

GT games are nasty to CPU
check your EE%

if it's a EE%99 cpu is weak
if GS%99 video card is weak

I'am facing the same issues, using both the stable version and developement versions. The sound is laggy and graphics are very slow. I'am trying to play GTA VCS and Grand Turismo 4.

Specs :

OS : Windows 10 19H1 x64
CPU : Intel Core i5 5200U
GPU : AMD Radeon R5 M330 (2GB) / Intel HD Graphics 5500
RAM : 12 GB DDR3

Doesn't meet our minimum requirements need 1600+ single thread rating and for a game like GT4 I recommend closer to 2000
