PCSX2 uses D3D for graphics? No OpenGL?
#1
I checked the graphics settings for 0.9.7 and I only see Direct3D(D3D). So PCSX2 uses D3D for graphics? No OpenGL? I have an NVIDIA graphics card so it uses OpenGL.

depends on the plugin.
zeroGS & zzogl both use Opengl
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

GSDX plugin which uses D3D is faster. That's why windows user use it.

Oh. So that means I cannot use the normal default plugin for PCSX2? But in the FAQ it says............

Recommended
* Windows Vista / Windows 7 32bit/64bit
* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.2ghz or better
* GPU: 8600gt or better
* 1gb RAM (2gb if on Vista / Windows 7)

Doesn't 8600gt uses OpenGL since it is an NVIDIA?

nVIDIA can use both D3D and OGL...

where did you get the idea nVIDIA = OGL only? oO

Really? That's awsome! Someone told me that ATI graphics card uses D3D and nVIDIA uses OpenGL. I guess that person was wrong.

Do a little research other than "someone told me" next time! Tongue
