Thanks. I thought of giving that game a spin on the emu as it appears that no one bothered on testing it. Sure, parents of little girls who want to play the game may not be able to spend time dumping the BIOS and setting up PCSX2 so their daughter can play it, but who knows? I'm sure that there are 1337 mums and dads out there, right?

I guess it's just a matter of time they'll appear growing from yesterday PS2 fanboys and fangirls. If PCSX2 could work with free BIOS or high level BIOS emulation their numbers would increase, sadly it's not the case yet.

I finally decided to contribute something to this project, added some info to the wiki for Valkyrie Profile 2. I still need to add some others bugs and whatnots, just can't remember the names of the places where it happens, will have to start loading some old saves of it to check out the places once again.

I think any player who'll come across those bugs will appreciate your spent time greatly (me included, although I don't even have the game (yet?))! Thanks!

For individual game, I think that the hack and patch being used in the settings should not be included in the setting section because it varies over different pc, and generally the fewer speed hacks being used the better. Having it in the setting section is sort of saying it is recommanded to turn on speedhacks regardless. I think the hacks and patches should be put in the comment section. With this said, I think all the listed game should have that change, so is there an easier way to do it other than doing it one by one.

I agree with a small addition: for some games speedhacks will not break anything but speed up the game greatly so it would be playable even with systems it was crawling on before (for example "VU Stealing" with Drakan). Of course if someone has a poweful CPU he can ignore all the speedhacks like PCSX2 doesn't need them at all. Thus all this talk about speedhacks is user-dependent.

(After carefully rereading your post) I have an additional remark. We can move this hacks thing outside the main table so it will look VERY optional but it can prove a bit counterproductive for users with slow PCs, plus it was intended as a "I played throughout the game using this configuration and hacks on this PC".
It's unclear either to interpret it as a snapshot for a tested game or an average PC to run this game successfully. I always prefered the snapshot with some comments.
What do you think?

Imo including speedhack settings is information bloat.
It doesn't serve any purpose other than to reflect what the user who played it *thought* would be stable.
(Most people don't notice slowdowns caused by speedhacks much.)

I just think that info doesn't have a place in a wiki, except as occasional remark in the article.

Hm... And what would you say if I hide the text if no hacks are mentioned in the table (like I hide bios version for instance)? Of course "hacks=" will still show up inside the code but it may be used to inform of game fixes hacks (like tri-Ace fix) or special GSDX settings (they can be refered to as hacks, too). Furthermore, this section can always be cleared of useless hacks anytime (it's not that the traffic is crazy).

Oh, btw you avatar always puzzles me a lot. It is a hat or a tower with a big crescent attached to it? I guess it's a part of some picture from some old game, is it?

There are only that many game fixes, so I think using comment is good enough. For the speed hacks, if people can't get full speed, they will probably try the speedhacks themselves without even need to read anything or ask anyway because speedhacks sound fast, so I think it is not really necessary to have it.

In addition, I think it is also a good idea to take out Ingame avg. FPS & info because NTSC games are supposed to run at 60fps and Pal at 50fps, so Ingame average Fps really doesn't make any sense. If one can't run a game at full speed it will be because his pc not fast enough, wrong settings, and/or the game is not fully compatible yet.

At this point, there are only that many people edit the game info, so I don't think we need to worry about screen shots now. Perhaps you can add a section for future use.

I'm a bit confused trying to understand your statement about screenshots (they can be happily added anywhere Smile ).

Ok, you're two against one, so I give up with the speedhacks. I'll try to hide them outside the table for now (and will remove them completely if it will not look good). FPS comment is supposed to (maybe) warn users about some unusual drops of FPS someplace in the game. It can be also removed. I wish you'd experiment with the table yourself ( http://wiki.pcsx2.net/wiki/Template:Infobox_game ) if you like. It's not that hard and can always be rever
