PPCSX2[0.9.8] MEMORY CARD HELP

Hi, I have download the PCSX2[0.9.8] and all the Bios and Plugins and all but when I tried to play a game it said Memory cards unformated so I went into my PS2 Setting and there are no options for the memory cards all I see is Version Information, unless I am not clicking the X button to access the memory cards (I formated LilyPad and tried clicking every button on my keyboard and mouse and nothing) Any help would be greatful

0.9.8 is old and unsupported.
