PS2 controller config issue

Hey guys,  

I am having a weird issue configuring my controller.  I am able to bind my ps2 buttons to keys in the lilypad plugin setup and everything right behind the scenes, but when I load a game (I'm trying THUG), no buttons are working, either on my controller or computer.   The "test device" screen is showing my controller inputs accurately, and everything else looks good.   Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

What controller are you using ?

Just a standard dualshock PS2 with a usb connector

Post your gamepad setting. Did you change anything on your gamepad setting ? And did the gamepad work for other games ?

I posted a pic of my gamepad settings.  I read a bit before reaching out, I know I need to be on directinput, and got the test to work, but the game itself still isn't showing signs of receiving input.  

As I'm typing this out... it works now.  No idea what's different.  Thanks, I guess?
