PS2 games cheats

Hello all, I am new and I got a question.
I am using multi convertor v2.3 to convert raw codes to pnach. My question is where to find crc for the games.
Does the games work without crc ?

Run the game and look in the console for
ELF (cdrom0:\S***_***.**;1) Game CRC = 0x????????

You need the ??? part without the 0x
Or run the game and multi converter and press Load on the RAW side
When you are done with the converting,click on the save button and the program will automatically suggest the correct folder and name for the pnach file
