PS3 Controller Problems (win7)
#1
will start off by saying yes, I've read the thread linked in the FAQ, followed those steps, and it "killed" all of my drivers.

started from scratch again, plugged the controller in, and started the "set up game controllers" application. Windows recognized the controller but all of the buttons had the value of zero. tried to calibrate the buttons, and to no avail. went into pcsx2, and opened up the controller configuration window. installed libsub again and as soon as the appropriate drivers were installed, windows didn't recognize the controller anymore. in the "set up game controllers" app nothing was displayed. also in the controller config window, the availible devices box seemed to have gotten rid of the PLAYSTATION®3 option.

tl;dr PC recognizes controller, but as soon as I configure libsub it doesn't.

this is making me want to stick a fork in my eye.

I use motioninjoy while it does have a data leak I found it to be the easiest to use and have never had any problems getting it to work.

When I tried using that driver you just said it screwed up my controller and I had to resync it to something else cause it stopped working all together

I have no problem at all, u might need to remove all previous driver 1st to avoid any conflict
in fact, tis driver is recommended by the pcsx2 team themselves over the bugged and bloatwared Motioninjoy

Never use motioninjoy it's seriously a bad driver for PS3 controllers, that Xinput (Scarlet's Driver) is the best one for getting your PS3 controller to work under windows.

I don't see whats so bad about it ok it has a data leak goes away after you x out of it or end the process in task manager.. but on any decent computer it won't effect performance...... I can say from experience that I have used motioninjoy for 100+ hours and never once have I experienced any troubles getting anything to work I tried scarlets driver and immediately had difficulty getting it to work even following the step by step instructionsWacko
