PS3 controller for MBP mid 2014

Hi there,

So I've followed a ton of online guides of how to connect a ps3 controller to a mac, but none of it seems to work for me. The ps3 controller connects fine to my windows pc and works on my ps3, but I can't seem to connect it to my macbook pro, which is the 15inch mid 2014 version running OSX yosemite. Does anyone know how to connect it to this version of mac?

There are not many mac users around here.
I guess only a small fraction of them will have ps3 controllers.
Maybe you should rather look in other mac forums to solve such a specific problem.
