PS5 Controller and Keyboard

I want to use my PS5 control pad to play NCAA Football 11.  I also want to use a wireless or wired keyboard to type information into the game (roster files).  Is there a way that I can use the control pad and keyboard simultaneously?  I know that I can use control pad to type letters in to the fields, it's just much easier to use a keyboard.

Configure keyboard being connected via USB as a second peripheral, under controller settings, USB ports? I've not tried it but it could work in theory.

I selected Settings/Controllers/USB Port 1/HID Keyboard/Automatic Mapping

The keyboard works for what I want to use it for.

Find the USB ports in the controller's settings and configure the keyboard to use them as a second peripheral. It may work in principle, but I haven't tested it.
