PSOne Widescreen Patches
Another day for more codes to release.

Contender (NTSC-U) (SCUS-94294)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80059958 0C00

Contender 2 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01305)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800BC338 0C00

DamDam Stompland (NTSC-J) (SLPS-01135)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800BE3FC 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Menus)
800167B4 0C00

Note:
  • Menus code is imperfect as not every element will appear in consistent and proper form.

Dune 2000 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00973)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80183028 1558
80183068 0C00

Note:
  • Has the same issues as El_Patas' PAL code; glitchy and slowed FMVs.

Ninja: Shadow of Darkness (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00435)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800162E8 0C00

Note:
  • When booting with the code enabled, you'll want skip the intro videos in case they freeze the game.

Ganbare Morikawakun 2Gou (NTSC-J) (SCPS-10036)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
801D050C 0C00

Pet in TV (PAL) (SCES-00981)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
801C2D50 0C00

Note:
  • Will reveal 4:3 bounds of the 3D space.

Tiny Tank (NTSC-U) (SCUS-94427)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80083C80 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Adjusted)
80083C80 0C00
80083C90 0D00

Note:
  • Culling will be present on the left and right sides; the Adjusted code zooms in the view a bit to alleviate this.

The following codes are Vert- only, so expect the in-game view to be cut off from top to bottom. @Shenmue_Trilogy you may be interested in the Tony Hawk codes here.

Akuji the Heartless (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00715)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
8005A310 0C00
8005A32C 0034
8005A32E AFA0
8005A330 1000
8005A332 AFA0

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00860)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
800D2194 1333

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01066)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
800D8640 1333

Notes:
  • Credit to VIRGIN KLM for discovering these addresses long ago. Too bad no width/Y-zoom address has been found yet.
  • 3D models will be cut off in THPS2's menus, especially characters as shown in the first screenshot.

And these set of codes do need more work, though I'll post them here anyways in case anyone else wants to modify or add to them.

BRAHMA Force: The Assault On Beltlogger 9 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00444)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
8008DD54 1555

Notes:
  • Behaves similarly to the Alien Resurrection address in that it's either Hor- with a lower value, or Vert- with a higher value.
  • Camera reverts back to 4:3 aspect ratio as you look up or down. Haven't found another address to fix this.

Kero Kero King (NTSC-J) (SLPM-86621)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80078630 0C00

Notes:
  • Camera isn't well-centered with the code enabled, which is most noticeable as you turn.
  • For reasons unknown, some 3D models may appear unevenly stretched.

Loaded (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00076)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8002CB16 0C00

Notes:
  • Zooms out, shrinks the HUD and some 3D models, and will reveal the muzzle flashes as misaligned. The zooming can at least be adjusted with L2/R2 in-game.

@TheCandidate

Once again, awesome work. Great to see a continuation of widescreen codes for PS1!
Also glad you found working codes for Smackdown 2 and Alien Resurrection. I tried a few years back but couldn't find anything that worked clearly.

Here are a few I found problematic if you ever want to try out. I was only able to find certain addresses that affect certain objects but not the whole scene in some of these. Others like Hellboy, Soul Edge/Soul Blade, and Spider-man always revert back to 4:3 after changing the address. Even with conditional codes.

Smackdown
Hellboy
Fighting Force
Dino Crisis
Spider-man
40 Winks
Lego Racers

Silent Bomber NTSC J
Tail Concerto NTSC J
Tron Ni Kobun NTSC J
Devil Man NTSC J

Here are several widescreen codes that I've been sitting on for awhile.

1 on 1 (NTSC-J) (SLPS-01706)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
801B6B18 0C00

Grid Runner (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00323)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80079672 0C00
8009D3BC 0C00
8009D3F4 0C00

Note:
  • 2D elements appear to wobble especially in multiplayer.

Grind Session (NTSC-U) (SCUS-94568)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80089288 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
80089290 1555

16:9 Widescreen (Vert- Adjusted)
80089290 1555
80089298 1040

Note:
  • Heavy culling outside the 4:3 frame using the default code, which is even still present in the slightest with the Adjusted code. Use the standard Vert- code if you prefer to not see any culling.

Poitter's Point 2 / Poy Poy 2 (NTSC-J) (SLPM-86061)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800E69D8 0C00

Note:
  • Mainly affects gameplay much like El_Patas' PAL code.

Segare Ijiri (NTSC-J) (SLPM-86230)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
801BFE20 0C00

Sno-Cross Championship Racing (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01093)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8012DF84 1333

WarGames - DefCon 1 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00599)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800D1450 0C00

WWF SmackDown! (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00927)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
E00216FC 1000
800216FC 0C00
E0108C7C 1000
80108C7C 0C00

Note:
  • While leaving both enabled has been safe during my testing, I've separated the addresses into different codes in case any issues arise.
  • 5/2/22 update: In-game/demo & Create A Superstar codes have been combined into a conditionally-based code.

And here are some Vert- widescreen codes.

Spider-Man (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00875)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
800B5934 1333

Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro (NTSC-U) (OG: SLUS-01378, Rev 1: SLUS-01378GH)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
800C2A94 1333

16:9 Widescreen (for Rev 1; Vert-)
800C2A8C 1333

Note:
  • FOV is often rather low for these games, which especially doesn't help for Vert-.

Turbo Prop Racing (NTSC-U) (SCUS-94229)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
8002ABB8 0C00

Seems like I've hit another standstill with making these codes (including finding any for most of the ones demilich noted sadly), so these might be the last batch of codes for a bit. Starting with some more wrestling games from Yuke's!

Power Move Pro Wrestling (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00408)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8002C63C 0C00
8002C6D0 0C00

Simple 1500 Series Vol. 22: The Pro Wrestling (NTSC-J) (SLPS-02472)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80030C04 0C00

Simple 1500 Series Vol. 52: The Pro Wrestling 2 (NTSC-J) (SLPM-86702)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (In-Game)
80022CD4 0C00

Note:
  • Similar to the SmackDown games, the camera appears slightly off-center in certain occasions.

And here are codes for several other games.

Disney's 102 Dalmatians: Puppies to the Rescue (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01152)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8007A09C 0C00

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01113)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
80028130 1333

Monster Rancher (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00568)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800E7E60 0C00

Red Asphalt (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00282)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80099750 0C00

Notes:
  • Main menu almost displays perfectly until you reach the car selection menu, where some text is covered.
  • Two player mode is untested as I'm unable to access it.

Speed Racer (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00613)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80100D50 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
80100D58 1555

Note:
  • Main code results in a rather shaky car as you turn left or right, while the Vert- code has it shaking up and down instead. First person view looks fine however.

Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00562)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8002578C 0C00

Note:
  • Affects all 3D models rather than the camera, meaning that the stage floor doesn't align to where characters should fall.

Vs. (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00513)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80183934 1555
80183938 1555

Still mainly under a standstill with making codes for other games at the moment, but here's what I've been able to cook up for the last couple of weeks.

Æon Flux (NTSC-U; Prototype)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
800D9C58 0C00

BallBlazer Champions (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00068)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80043BC8 1555
80043BCC 1555

16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
80043BC8 1555

16:9 Widescreen (Vert- Adjusted)
80043BC8 1555
80043BCC 1150

Note:
  • Mild culling present on left and right edges; feel free to use Vert- or Adjusted codes as alternatives.

Batman & Robin (NTSC-U) (SLUS-00393)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80061B60 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
80061B64 1555

Note:
  • Using the main code, everything appears to warp horizontally as you turn the camera. Use the Vert- code if you prefer consistent 3D.

Mission: Impossible (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01016)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80077F34 1555

Note:
  • Camera slightly rises and has an increased FOV.

Razor Freestyle Scooter (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01322)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8007BBD8 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
8007BBE0 1555

16:9 Widescreen (Vert- Adjusted)
8007BBE0 1555
8007BBE8 1040

Note:
  • Built on the same engine as Grind Session, so the same heavy culling revealed in that game's widescreen code is here too.

Shin Nihon Pro Wrestling - Toukon Retsuden (NTSC-J) (SLPS-00084)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
8002C634 0C00
8002C6C8 0C00

Note:
  • Similar to the SmackDown games, the camera may be slightly off-center in certain occasions.

The Simpsons Wrestling (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01227)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen
80047B28 0C00

Note:
  • Camera is not centered well, especially during character intros.

Here are some codes that would definitely benefit from a little more work beyond my hands at the moment.

Alundra 2 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01017)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (Vert-)
800595B8 0C00

Note:
  • Results in a rather shaky camera at times, mostly during cutscenes.

Runabout 2 (NTSC-U) (SLUS-01135)
Code:
16:9 Widescreen (In-Game)
800475A8 1555
80095998 0C00

16:9 Widescreen (Alt)
8008F5C8 0C00

Note:
  • In-Game code displays different camera behavior from the Alt code, specifically in draw distance and the 2D sprites being squished while in first person mode.
  • While the Alt code displays both camera modes in the proper aspect ratio, the camera will shake as you turn similar to Speed Racer.

(02-28-2022, 05:43 AM)TheCandidate Wrote: No problem! I have looked into the Tekken, Tomb Raider, and Destruction Derby games recently and have unfortunately been left with no useful addresses on any of them. While it's not quite a Tony Hawk game, I've also tried looking to Apocalypse (from the same developers and sharing the same game engine) with only a Y-zoom address found.

Think I'll still give Tony Hawk 1 a try, but all these games are most likely using entirely different values for camera adjustments that still haven't been discovered yet. Wish I had the expertise to actually solve that easily though.

thanks for all the effort. Could you take a look on RR4x. We already have the ws code for the car but no the environment.

Is there a widescreen patch for SLPS-03040 Rittai Ninja Katsugeki Tenchu 2?
If not, can someone create this patch?
The US version works fine, but the Japanese version doesn't seem to have a code for it in the archive.
Thanks!

I went looking for a Tomb Raider I widescreen patch and the best I could come up with was Diablo mode:

000198AC 0F00 // 0x1400
0001992C 0F00 // 0x1400

I found these using the Duckstation debugger. I hope this can be of some help to someone more capable than me.

hi guys, Does anyone have an idea how he did that (FB: Dugam3r)

panoramic mode code shared here winning eleven 3 widescreen 16:09 "800FF6A8 0C00"

in his camera he has less zoom. Does anyone know how to zoom out?  Unsure

I managed to zoom out ---> 800FF6B8 1200

Even so it does not get to look like his camera. It seems that he has the camera higher.
