PSOne Widescreen Patches
Video
This probably doesn't fit on this thread in a way, but here's a cool trick:

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (NTSC-U) Ultrawide:

This is what happens when I mix the widescreen cheat with the widescreen GTE hack in PCSXR-PGXP XD. Of course, I edited out those overscan bars, so it's actually wider than a 21:9 aspect ratio (around 2.52:1). But, I don't actually have a 21:9 monitor, only a 4:3 17" CRT, so it makes no sense for me to be playing like this... It's cool anyways!

Here's some comparison shots, with 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9, but all with those overscan bars removed (not stretched, only compensated, so the aspects are a little wider):

The widescreen GTE hack does not stretch the HUD, like the cheat does:

PGXP removes the wobbling and actually alleviates some of the texture culling on the sides, but sadly, not everything. I hope PCSX2 have this enhancement added for PSX emulation some day.

Yes. I've confirmed it works. I just double checked by copying the values in my post and it still finds it, so there's no mistake.

The render fix will most likely be an ASM hack. I had an emulator called NO$PSX that didn't require reboots for ASM hacks.

Could you do the same If we provide you zooms values for other games?

if I owned any other games

Great work guys! Smile So now we have the values for Crash 3. Could be the values for Crash 1 and 2 similar?

Here's another ultrawide "attempt", but this one is more successful, since the game is better at rendering stuff beyond the 4:3 area:

R-Type Delta (NTSC-U) Ultrawide

Again, I'm using the widescreen GTE hack combined with the widescreen cheat code provided here, which gives an aspect ratio of 2.37:1, that should fit perfectly in a 2560x1080 resolution, since this game has no overscan bars. I'm also using PGXP, and it works perfectly with this game.

I tried to search the same hexadecimal values in the other two games but not found, unfortunately seems
that they need a completely different values.

Best regards.
