Hello guys,
I have been trying the latest rev as of now trying to see how PSX mode works.
So far i got absolutely nothing. People say that some games work and display stuff but all i get is a black screen and theese are the last lines in the emulog:

What do i need to do to make this at least display something? Some people said something about a psx logo at least showing but for me it does nothing. Please advise.

Just to get that out of the way, it's very broken and not in a state where testing and bug reporting is desired.

In your case I think the most likely cause why you don't even get to the PS1 boot logo is a mismatching BIOS file. BIOS files taken from late model PS2s won't work (BIOS v2.20 or later won't IIRC), and in many (but not all) cases BIOS region and game region also need to match. It's a bit finicky.

Currently it only works on BIOS versions before 2.2 and above iirc and your games have to be from the same region as the BIOS as we cannot bypass the region check on this yet Sad

Edit: updated to say "versions before" as mentioned below

It works for me on BIOS 1.60, if only with some of my games.

All games are still too fast. Wink

There are still too many issues to make any testing useful. Right now the best help anyone can give is actually writing and improving the psx mode code.

I've got some games working too.

Spyro series: ingame menus with sound although it sound like treble is too high, main intro cut scenes with audio varied results. black screen when gameplay is concerned.

Medievil: no cutscene audio mostly quiet except for a few sound effects here and there gameplay is working flawlessly.

Legend of dragoon no 2d dialogue and no cutscene audio... first battle well see for yourself its was entertaining..

Works here on BIOS 1.90. Considering Eloris said "BIOS v2.20 or later won't [work] IIRC" I'm guessing ref said it backwards.
