does that mean that phenom II uses more power because its has to use all core when 2 cores cache is not enough?

...well, it doesn't decrease size, 'couse it's not core depend, it has total 6MB L3 Cache & 512kB L2 per core, so in fact, every core has 512kB +6MB to communicate between, ...& when you turn off a core, CPU loses 512kB for that core, but that 512kB don't affect other cores so there should be no decrese in performance! ...like Phenom II 720 BE, it has 3 cores 512kB L2 each, & it has 6MB L3 cache...

I notice good performance too with all core working around 60% total in two game Tekken5 and Final Fantasy 12.

Folks i can confirm i can reach on a lot of games 50FPS by simly using linux wich through a modified wine launches pcsx2 with 3d Software accellerated trough wine with Opengl.
my systems i a Phenom 3GH with GEFORCE 280, it is simply wonderful, all 4 cores are used
