Im having a problem aswell, i finally get through all the intro on FFx then its decides now to let me choose a setting afgter iver set up my controller settings? very annoying!

use LilyPad, its better, and do something like this

Still didnt work for me, also if y configs fail and is says for example spus error all my config will be reset

seems like ur running vista..
did u try running as admin?
anyway lilypad is better
